Power-Many subwoofers offer a ton of power and this is what you want for a loud and intense bass sound. Look at the RMS power ratings. These ratings measure the continuous power output of the subwoofer and you should match this to your amplifier.
Sensitivity-Sensitivity is essential and relates directly to power. Higher ratings will require less power to produce the same amount of sound.
Frequency-This range tells you how low a subwoofer can produce sound. This is a good factor to take into consideration but the frequency can be affected by a number of other situations within your car and system.
Size-Even experts will disagree when it comes to the size of subwoofers and which will allow for the loudest sound with the best quality. Many factors affect this but in the end if you are looking for loud sound then you want to go with the biggest and baddest subwoofer possible. However, when installed properly, smaller subwoofers can produce an exceptional and intense sound.
